Billy ~ 1yr Old Cocker Spaniel (On Trial 10/1/21)

Meet the beautiful Billy. This gorgeous boy is a 1year old Cocker Spaniel. The best way to describe Billy's personality is very similar to that of a toddler, playful and innocent with a hint of super cute puppy-ness all thrown into one. Billy loves to hug and they are the best hugs ever. They are sweet and gentle and make you melt...but he can be quite choosy on who he gives them to. His loyalty to his chosen person is beautiful to see in such a young dog.

Billy can tend to be a little shy when it comes to new people and situations to start with. Billy's new family will need to understand that he requires some time to warm up to new situations in his own time, not being bribed with treats, Billy will require an experienced and patient home where he can grow and flourish. When he does warm up he is a completely different boy. He plays with toys and other dogs until you think he can't have any more energy left to burn.

This totally adorable energiser bunny loves hooning around the home jumping from couch to couch in true parkour champion style. He has the most stunning ears that droop down into his food and everything that he gets into, which he does really love to share with items around the home. Let's talk about that hair for a moment. It's midnight black from nose to tail and it feels a lot more like soft mink than it does dog hair. But those ears get dropped into every water bowl, food dish, duck poo and prickle he can find and will need to be brushed EVERY day...no exceptions

Billy has shown to be very social with other doggos and will play until the other dogs flop to the ground and beg for mercy. Billy sleeps in his own bed which is a large create, he's not a crazy barker and is house trained and uses the doggy door. He is not a digger, but can be a bit strong on the lead just pulling a bit. His owner will need to be strong and fit while he continues to learn his manners on the lead. He MUST be walked once a day at least to burn off that excess energy. He enjoys his walks and can get excited. You can actually physically see Billy get bored and calculate when to sneak off to another room. You do not want a bored toddler alone and quiet....trust me! It's better to get up and go for the walk.

His ideal family will be committed to walking, grooming, training and be understanding of his shyness of new people and situations. Experience with the breed is highly desirable and he would not suit a home with young children under the age of 12. Billy would ideally suit a single or couple who he can bond to and flourish with. Billy has not been tested with cats or pocket pets.

Billy’s adoption fee is $800. This includes desexing, vaccinations and microchipping , he has also been treated for worms, fleas and ticks.
