About Hugh
I’m Hugh... although you probably know me already if you follow CRQ on Facebook - I’m a bit of a superstar and a huge hit with the ladies, just like my predecessor Hugh Hefner!
I’m an 8 year old chihuahua although I seem very mature for my age, and you may think I’m older than my years suggest but I’ve just chalked up a lot of life experience, that’s all.
If you’re looking for an athletic sort of dog to take for big walks and runs around the park, I’m not really your man, i much more prefer to potter around the house, snuggle and nap. I am friendly though and I love a good cuddle.
I live with a bunch of small dogs - but I’m really small myself at 2 kgs, so small kids aren’t my thing. I prefer there to be no cats in my foreverhome - just dont like them.
I also like to do some sneaky wee’s around the house so if you adore your carpet, I might not be suitable for your household.
I’d really like someone who’s around a lot to snuggle with and watch me nap, and maybe another quiet small dog or two for company. I’m happy to go out and have coffee dates and visit your friends with you, just quiet things.
So hey ladies, and/or gents, if you think I’m your man, send in an app! But hey, let’s not go and break the internet now ok....
(Please read my medical notes below before applying - I need regular check ups and blood tests for my hypothyroidism)
Medical notes
8 year old Hugh has hypothyroidism which is being well controlled with one Levothyroxine 50mcg tablet twice daily. This medication is from a regular chemist and isn’t expensive - around $30 for 200 tablets. He will need to have a blood test approximately every 6 months to make sure his thyroid levels are ok.
He has some arthritis so we recommend he continues taking a joint supplement such as Osteocare to help support his joints. He has also responded well to Metacam when he has seemed a bit painful in the past.
He has recently been desexed and had a dental with one extraction. He is microchipped and up to date with his C5 vaccination, as well as flea, tick, heart worm and intestinal worm prevention.
