About Heath
Heath is another one of our missed opportunities - this young lad arrived to us when he was just 6 weeks old, found on his own and entering our foster program.
Heath is now 6 months old and he has had a few reasons why he has been missed -
1. he is not the most desirable colour that people are looking for in a cat - yes it is true black cats find it much harder to find a home especially if the shelter is full of colourful kittens or fluffy cute bundles of joy
2. he doesn't like to be picked up from the ground - he is a four paws on the floor kind of guy, a lot of people expect that all cats should be able to be cuddled - but even some people would prefer to not be hugged - it should be ok for Heath to ask that he is left on the ground - yet he does enjoy a good pat.
3. he doesn't have the confidence to approach you straight away, yes we agree that sometimes the cats will choose you by approaching you for attention, but some just don't have the skills to do that and require you to gain their trust first... Heath loves people, but he doesn't always show that in the first 45 seconds.
So please give Heath the chance to prove to you that he will enjoy your company, come in to our Longford Adoption Centre, sit down with Heath, play with toys, talk to him softly - you will win him over and then you just never know but he may win you over too and let you take him home....
GO ON - DO IT - WE KNOW YOU WANT TO........
