Elwood came into care with another fellow foster. He was introduced to his foster carer's existing foster kitten and after an little cautiousness it was as though they had known each other their whole lives.
Little Ellybean loves his food and will do his best to guilt his foster mum into giving him extra food by crying.
He loves to play, even up until he is ready to drop, does enjoy a cuddle (on his own terms) and is quite the little purr machine.
Special Needs: Unfortunately whilst under anesthesia for his vet work he has suffered a hypoxic brain injury which has resulted in him having slight balance and coordination problems. The vets say his condition may get better over the next 6 to 12 months but there is no guarantee. His condition is causing the following issues to sometimes occur.
* “Wobbly” gait
* Swaying in the hind end
* Leaning
* Hind end falling whilst walking
* Not always landing on hind legs when jumping off things causing him to skid along the floor.
As you will see in his videos its nit extremely bad and even though he has this small balance issue it does not slow him down or stop him from climbing. He will need to be an inside only cat due to his condition and no small children.
A very determined boy, Elwood would suit a home with another kitten or adult cat (he has been around adult cats in his foster home and is not phased by them at all) and older children/adults.
