Callie! Sweet and goofy, she’s off the streets and ready to jump right into your heart. This girl is finally in tip top condition and ready for her new home! Callie forms a strong attachment to her main care giver, she’s shown that the way to Callie’s heart is definitely through her stomach.

Once settled into her new home she is a good guard dog. While Callie is playful and friendly with other dogs, she prefers not share her human, her food and her bed with furry friends. Although Callie is currently living with other dogs, due to having heart worm treatment she has been separated from them.

When Callie first arrived into care she was malnourished and in rather poor condition. She was 7kg underweight, with very poor skin & fur condition then sadly tested positive for Heartworm. After a bit of TLC, quite a few baths and a whole lot of food she was healthy enough to start her heartworm treatment. And now, five months later, she just about has the heartworm beat too!

She will still require a few follow up screenings with her current vet post adoption to ensure that re-infestation does not occur. Callie has also been both crate and kennel trained during this time to ensure her safety throughout treatment.
