Sweet Nora was purchased to keep another pup and kids company during the covid lockdown.
Since the lockdown restrictions have been lifted (temporarily)the family desided to move interstate, taking the 1st puppy but not Nora or her 2 feline brothers Morris & Murphy.
All 3 have been surrendered into CARMAR care.
So we are now searching for a LIFETIME furrever family for Nora, Morris and Murphy.
We have desided that if we can not find a family/persons to adopt all 3 together, we will adopt out seperately.
This is Nora's story.
Nora was purchased from a breeder as a 9 week old puppy to be company for another pup and 3 children aged 8,6,4yo respectively.
Nora has only ever known a very busy noisy active household comprising 3 adults, 3 children, cats, dogs and chooks.
She has had basic training and understands her commands and her name.
Originally she was briefly introduced to the outside world at off leash dog Park and occasionally walked in the street, but both these activities became to difficult to organise so she spent her time in her family's company and household.
Since she has come into CARMAR care Nora has been introduced to a routine.
After showing signs of being scared/timid of all things new, we set her a routine so she feels safe, secure, loved and cared for.
She has come on in leaps and bounds now that she understands what is expected of her with regards to her new routine lifestyle.
She now loves walking around the streets on lead and harness for 40 minutes in the morning and afternoon.
She knows she will be fed at a certain time morning and night & with treats for training.
She sleeps very peacefully on her couch or her bed in the loungeroom.
She has met other dogs and humans of all shapes and sizes on her daily walks and is fantastic meeting new dogs, but still a little wary of some humans, but with reassurance and training from her foster carers she is learning very quickly how to overcome her fears of new experiences.
Nora has good basic training -'sit, stay ,come' ✅
She is fine with other friendly dogs and cats and children.✅
She loves car travel.✅
Food orientated for training ✅
Meeting new dogs on lead in the street✅
Meeting new humans in the street or at foster carers home(her territory)timid but will approach with reassurance ✅

All Nora needs now to blossom into the gorgeous sweet loving dog we know she is behind those timid eyes is to settle into a loving family /household routine where she feels safe, secure and loved for her entire lifetime.
