About Eddy
Little Eddy is a 8 month old Mini fox Terrier.
He came to us over a month ago, from a neglectful situation.
At first we believed he had a untreated broken back leg, but after xrays we found out he had a old hip dislocation. He went to a orthopaedic surgeon to see what the best option, and at first we were advised that he needed a amputation, as his hip socket had stretched, so the ball joint couldn’t be positioned back. After some thought with vet advice we decided the best thing to do was a ball joint removal to save his leg. Vets explained that when this procedure happens the ligaments and muscles contract around the leg and he will have full use of his leg.
4 weeks later this little boy is running around, cocking his leg, walking and running on it maybe 80-90% of the time.
His foster home has a few different breeds and are all older dogs. Eddy has transitioned well except for the odd challenge.
Their is a 8 yr old female pug that has taken him under her wing. With a few life lessons for him.
He needs a home that understands the breed, as they can be bossy and yappy.
Eddy only seems to bark when their is someone at the door. When you leave or arrive home, but it’s only briefly.
He loves exploring the backyard on his own, and sunbathing around the pool. Walks well on lead. But does think he is a Rottweiler when he sees another dog, which we have been working on.
He is in a great little routine and thrives on structure and boundaries.
We believe he could be great as a only dog, but as long as he wasn’t alone for long periods.
He wouldn’t suit The elderly As he can get under your feet, ALOT!
He is probably 99.9% toilet trained, but occasionally you find a nugget somewhere.
He does love his little canvas crate at night with all his toys.
All vet work done, up to date with monthly medications.
Eddy is in the Gold Coast

Adoption details
We shortlist and contact families who may fit the dogs needs. If indications are positive, normally after sleeping on it, a home check is organised, then an adoption agreement is completed, adoption donation (variable on account of age and health of individual dog) is transferred and the dog will become part of your family.
All our dogs have had a consultation with our vet, are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. As we want every dog to be in its own family we try and fit dogs into forever homes, we don’t offer “Trials”. Naturally unforeseen circumstances arise occasionally where it’s preferable dogs come back to us as per our adoption agreement.
