Edison is an inquisitive and friendly fella who enjoys exploring everything and following you about. Whilst he is still figuring out how to be a lapdog, he loves to be near you and will ask for an occasional and shortlived cuddle before moving to the end of the couch. He looks straight into your soul and brings so much joy, once he gets to know you - he will ignore you at first until he has settled in.

He is a bit hard of hearing, has some arthritis in his back legs and has itchy skin that is currently managed by twice weekly baths with Pyohex shampoo (which will decrease to weekly in time). This will require ongoing monitoring and vet visits to determine what is helping and what isn't. He has recently been groomed to give his skin and fur a chance to start afresh. Whilst he has been losing weight he does need to shed a couple more kilos, which will also help his back legs. He loooves his walks and seeing what the world has to offer.

This gorgeous gentleman is dog, cat and child friendly. He would suit a recently retired lifestyle wonderfully. He is working on his leash skills and toilet training, as they are still new experiences to him. He can use a doggy door and would love one in his new home so he can come and go as he pleases.

Edison has a surprisingly big voice that he uses when he is excited, when he feels left out of things or when he scratches a good itch. He likes to be included and does not like being in crates or behind baby gates. He is pretty chill otherwise and gets along with everyone he has met so far, he can be a little bit in your face when meeting small dogs but soon wanders off to do his own thing.

If you are seeking a new shadow, enjoy giving ear rubs and receiving lots of kisses (and perhaps wouldn't mind sharing your bed) then look no further than darling Edison.
