About Jolly
‘Tis the season to be Jolly! Well, Christmas is done and gone but we’ve still got a hopeful outlook for the very handsome and charming Jolly, a young Mally x boy who is looking for his furever home.
Jolly has long fur, so he will need a committed human for lots of brushes and professional grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best, but it’s worth it. He’s loving, carefree, amazing, and very easy to live with. His foster people say that any family or person who chooses him will fall in love with him, and that’s because he’s a complete angel.
Jolly is goofy and playful, responsive, loves to be around people, hands out kisses and cuddles, and loves a belly rub and attention back. He just lights up the room and is such a happy dog. He’ll also play fetch, but in true arctic style may not always bring it back.
Jolly would love more training, as in just nine days he’s learnt sit drop, bed and stay. He’s perfectly housetrained, travels well in the car, and is a great blend of playful and relaxed – he plays in the morning, and is then very happy to settle for a nap or ten. Jolly is ok on lead, and with training he’ll be excellent. The same goes for smaller children (he gets excited and doesn’t know his size): we think he’ll improve with the right approach.
He likes other dogs, and needs to learn to approach them more calmly. Jolly would love another dog to live with (either his size or a bit smaller), as he adores company and gets sad and anxious when he’s totally by himself. He can show dominance and over the top playfulness with his foster sister but is learning to be redirected when he gets too big for his boots.
The usual husky / mally rules apply – Jolly needs lots of love, exercise and grooming, and a secure yard with 5+ ft fences. He also has a strong prey drive, so absolutely no cats, pocket pets, chooks, and he needs more testing with little dogs.
Jolly is not available for interstate adoption. Not suitable for apartment living, rural properties or residences with court yards.
