About Jinx and Trixie - Located in St Kilda
Jinx 3 years old
f you’re looking for a mellow cat to hang out and watch Netflix with, look no further! True to his Ragdoll nature, Jinx loves people and starts purring as soon as you touch him. He and his sister Trixie (same parents, different litters) were surrendered due to his person’s health, so he’s feeling a bit bewildered but very friendly. He needs a safe, indoor home with only Trixie as the other cat, where he can come out of his shell and get back on the sofa (and bed at night). He likes a good chat and never says no to a cuddle.
Jinx is allergic to chicken, so he must eat Hills Science Prescription Diet food to keep his tummy and coat healthy. Just like his sister, he has beautiful blue eyes and a silky coat.
Trixie 2 years 6 months
This stunning girl with the electric blue eyes and plume-like tail is shy at first, but quickly settles in as long as her brother Jinx is close by (same parents, different litters). She’s chatty, curious, and likes to check in on you with a headbutt during the day to see what’s going on. At night, she loves sleeping near you and also keeping watch to make sure everything’s as it should be!
Trixie isn’t too fond of cats other than her brother, but likes people, including the older children she’s met in foster care (hasn’t been around younger children since coming into care). Her gorgeous long coat will require brushing to maintain her 100% Diva status, but she’s happy for the attention.

Before applying to meet one of our cats, please ensure that
- you have the agreement of all members of the household to adopt a Cat
- you have your landlords permission to keep a pet. More information on what to do is available at https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/housing/renting/applying-for-a-rental-property-or-room/pets-and-renting
- you have all the necessary bits and pieces to welcome your new family member, starting with a cat carrier to bring them home, a litter tray, litter, food and bowls as well as a bed, toys and scratchers
- you are ready to welcome them home NOW. We are unable to hold a cat for you if you are not ready to adopt.

Medical notes
The adoption fee includes desexing, microchip, current vaccination, flea and worm treatment while in care. No health issues unless listed below.
Jinx is allergic to chicken so with this, he must be on Hills Science Prescription Diet Z/D dry food. Trixie has no known health issues.
Maneki Neko Cat Rescue would like to help ensure you and your new companion have a long and happy life together.
If you should find that you are not a purrfect match - or if you need to rehome your cat at any stage of its life - Maneki Neko Cat Rescue will take the cat back into care and find a new home.
Maneki Neko Cat Rescue provides a 7 day health warranty on all adoptions.
Although all our cats and kittens are health checked prior to adoption, sometimes the stress of a new environment can upset their immune system.
