Ruby

Ruby is a beautiful older girl with a great temperament. This lovely lady has only ever known love and kindness, and came to PPAR as her elderly owner sadly could no longer care for her.

Ruby loves to give cuddles and kisses and is an inside dog who enjoys the company of her people. She isn’t concerned by playing kids or loud noises. Ruby has a calming nature and seems to know when someone needs her love. She'll come over when she senses something is up, and comfort you with kisses.

Ruby is very food motivated (we think she may have labrador in her) and will even eat other pets food if left unattended. She is great with other dogs but doesn't share her food, so needs to be fed separately. Ruby is intrigued by cats but does not chase them.

Being an older lady, Ruby has arthritis which is managed by supplements and periodic injections for joint support. More than two stairs would be difficult for her to manage and while she enjoys playing with the other dog in her foster home, she is physically limited in how much she can do. She is also a bit deaf so her recall isn't great!

Ruby would love a home with or without other pets. She needs a comfortable retirement home where she will be doted on and cared for appropriately in her old age. She loves kids, so would be fine with them in her new home.
