About Mia - adoption pending
Mia is a pretty 18 month old . She's such a sweet natured and gentle girl. She is extremely affectionate and loving. She gets on well with people and other dogs alike. She likes nothing more to snuggle up to you as she looks adoringly into your eyes. Her tail is constantly wagging, such a happy girl. Mia looks Whippet X Kelpie & petite around 19kg.
The positives- Toilet trained, rarely barks, non-destructive, doesn't dig, not an escape artist, get's on great with other dogs. Soft natured, very loving. Excellent recall and she walks well on leash and is excellent off leash.
The negatives- Not great with cats or pocket pets & best with older children such as teens up
Mia would ideally like a home with another dog of similar nature & size. She will need one or two walks a day. Ideally she would have a constant companion but will cope with being left alone for a short to moderate length of time. She is an athletic dog and while not crucial would love to be involved in an active lifestyle. She loves to run And would particularly suit a runner and she also enjoyed running alongside my bicycle She coped well coming to work with me on a building site and was loved by all. Where ever she goes she gets comments on what a beautiful dog she and on her sweet nature.

***Special Update***
Because of the Coronavirus situation we are receiving an unprecedented number of enquiries. We are just a small group of people and are still working hard to get dogs and cats out of pounds and to safety as well as answer enquiries about animals we already have in care. Please be patient with us as we work through the enquiries. Thank you.
If you are interested in meeting one of our animals we would love to hear from you.
Please email us at poundrescue@yahoo.com with your phone number, a brief description of the family home you can offer - the number of adults and children in the home, other pets, how long the animal would be left on its own each day, whether your fencing is secure and so on. PLEASE REMEMBER TO INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER IN YOUR EMAIL TO US.
We try and answer all enquiries asap but are all volunteers, so we thank you for your patience.
If an animal is adopted inter-state we can help organise transport . The cost of transport is paid by the adopting family.
All our animals are desexed, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped. Our adoption fee covers our basic costs.
