About Zulu
Zulu is a calm chilled grey but loves a good playtime chasing and tossing his toys. He enjoys a couple of 20 minute walks each day but happy to head out longer if its to go to the park.
He is a bright boy who has learnt a couple of basic commands, including “paw” as he lifts each paw to be towelled dry after walking in the rain.
Zulu is happy and excited to meet most dogs, just those little yappy things are a bit too much.
At home its all about the pats, often giving you a nudge or gentle paw to suggest you start or don't stop. Zulu’s eyes will follow you as you walk around the home. If it looks as though you are coming towards him, he will flop down to request belly rubs.
Sometimes Zulu does an epic downward dog... and finishes it off with a loud fart.
Zulu is a quintessential chilled grey who saves that energy for short bursts of excitement.
No cat or small dog applications please.
No children under six.
No full time workers unless working from home post COVID19 unless there is another dog
We only consider applications who compete our online application.
When this is done we can make contact to discuss adopting a greyhound and potential suitable greys currently in foster care.
Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
During the COVID crisis, not all of our rescued Greyhounds will have the usual socialisation with other dogs so we may advise to use a muzzle in some situations until the dog is fully socialised.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
