About Shanda
Shanda is a very happy, playful, and adventurous pup that everyone stops to pat and comments on how cute she is. This gorgeous girl is all about people and other dogs and just wants pats and kisses from everyone she meets.
Shanda has lived in foster care with a young adult dog who she absolutely adores. She is very full of life and is always ready to play. This little lady has high energy levels and could run for hours. She absolutely loves going to the river to play fetch and running through the water. Shanda loves being outdoors exploring and is willing to go anywhere with you. Being a young pup, she will require ongoing socialisation with other dogs to ensure that she remains a happy and friendly girl.
Shanda is showing great lead manners while out walking and is developing her basic obedience such as sit, down, recall and shake. This little lady absolutely loves training, is a super quick learner and very food motivated. As she is still a young pup she will need a family who are committed to furthering her training in order to ensure that she continues to develop good manners and to give her the mental stimulation that is required to keep her brain occupied. Obedience classes or dog sport activities are right up her alley. Shanda is crate trained and her toilet training is going well. She is settled in the car and will just lay and stare at you until you get to where you’re going.
Shanda needs a family that is dedicated to taking her out on adventures and spending time exercising/walking her daily to meet her physical stimulation needs – a walk around the block is not going to be sufficient enough for this higher energy girl. She should be allowed inside the home to be a part of the family and loves to have snugs on the couch or lay at your feet while you watch tv in the evenings when she has burnt off all her energy. She will also need a warm comfy bed to sleep on inside at night. Shanda would be ideal in an active home that enjoys the outdoors. She would love a home with another dog companion whom she can play with and who could tolerate her young working pup energy levels.
Shanda would also suitable as an only dog if you were home most of the time to keep her company and provide her with mental stimulation during the day. Shanda could be trained to live with other animals and children; however, she can be very excited being a working breed young pup so is best suited to older more dog savvy children who are not going to encourage inappropriate play or behaviours. She has not been around other types pets; however, loves everyone and everything she sees so with the right introductions and training it is expected that she could get along with other types of pets in the household.
If you feel that Shanda is the dog you are looking for and you know you can keep up with her working breed needs then please complete a Dog Adoption enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the next step.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
