About Scout
Scout came to us as a highly anxious dog, skin and bone. We put an anti-anxiety collar on him and gave him a friend to play with and he turned into a different dog. Scout needs a family, another female dog to play with who is smart and active, and someone who is home a lot. Boredom is his enemy. He is now a lovely happy boy who has put weight on. He would make a lovely assistance dog as he is very smart and gets on with everyone, a real all rounder.
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
