Mack Hartwell is a gorgeous little character who is looking for a loving, comfortable and quiet home where he can spend his senior years being adored and cared for. While he has minimal sight, he is inquisitive, very clever, and has adapted to his foster carer’s home very quickly. He loves his short walks and even knows where the trees, grass areas and path are. Mack is house trained but due to his lack of sight, he wouldn’t cope with a lot of stairs and would prefer a ramp or single small step out to the backyard.
He is super friendly and loves people so much that he wants to be an only dog and doesn’t like to share you with other animals. He sleeps all night and is happy to snooze next to you or in his bed during the day. He loves his cuddles and time with his person/people, so much so that he ideally he would like someone around and can fret when left completely on his own. He is a brilliant little car traveller. He has his favourite squeaky toys and has even started talking to them while he plays. He loves his walks and sets off at a cracking pace.
Are you looking for a best buddy and a little character who has so much to give? Mack’s foster carer thinks couldn’t find a better companion than Mack. You can’t help but fall in love with this amazing little guy.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
