About Thor
Thor, being the Norse God of cuddles does love his walkies and zoomies but also happy to rest in between the lightning flashes. Thor can be a bit sooky, resting his head in your lap for some loving in between naps.
Thor is a very attentive family man, he needs to know what you are up to and where you are. Thor will ideally find a busy family to adopt with folk about most of the time so he can entertain and cuddle for a good part of the day.
Thor is also a very clever chap and learning basic instructions with food rewards.
Maybe your home could be the one for this sweet, cuddly and bright boy as his foster carer describes him. Looking into his gorgeous brown eyes and elegant brindle coat, Thor is a heart stealer.
No cat or small dog applications please.
No children under 12 ( Thor is a big lad )
No full time workers unless working from home post COVID19 unless there is another dog
We only consider applications who compete our online application.
When this is done we can make contact to discuss adopting a greyhound and potential suitable greys currently in foster care.
Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
During the COVID crisis, not all of our rescued Greyhounds will have the usual socialisation with other dogs so we may advise to use a muzzle in some situations until the dog is fully socialised.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
