About Leo ~12mo Staffy X(On Trial 3/01/2021)
The lovely Leo is looking for his new home. Leo is a 12 month old English staffy cross Neo mastiff. He is an energetic young man who needs lots of exercise to keep him stimulated, and due to long work hours and young children, his family are not able to give him the time and attention he needs.
Leo has grown up with lots of love and care, and is healthy and happy. Because of his age he is excitable when out and about so needs further lead training and someone who is prepared to be patient while he learns to use his manners when out walking. Leo has been very well socialised and is very dog friendly. He loves to play with doggo friends but is very energetic. He would love a doggy friend in his new home, but they would have to be patient with his adolescent energy.
Leo currently lives with three young children and is kind and gentle with them. He would be happy to live with children of any age, but as always, close supervision of dogs and young children is essential so that both can learn how to get along. Leo also gets along well with the cat who lives in his home. Leo can sit and shake, and loves his toys. He particularly loves chasing the footy with his Dad and playing tug. He doesn’t bark much but has been a digger in the past when bored, including under fences. Leo also loves the car and will happily jump in to go for a ride. He is a medium sized dog so although fences need to be secure (particularly at ground level), he has never shown any sign of trying to jump out.
Leo has a friendly, happy, easy-going personality and will be a loyal and loving addition to a family who has some time to provide him with regular exercise and stimulation. He would be happy to join any family who would include him in adventures and keep his mind and body active.
For any enquiries, please contact Sarah-Jane via email s-j.hazell@bigpond.com. Leo is currently living in the Maitland area in NSW and is not available for interstate adoption. If you believe that Leo is the right fit for your family, please fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt, including lots of information.
Leo’s adoption fee is $500. He is desexed, vaccinated, flea treated and wormed. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au.
