About Max~Rottweiler(On Trial 10/1/21)
What can you do when you are really, really, ridiculously good-looking? Model material Max is ready to flash his blue steel look at you and make your heart flutter. Max is an 18 month old pure bred Rottweiler who loves his people.
Max is a big strong boy at 45kg, and he gets very excited when out and about so will need someone strong who is willing to continue his training on the lead. Max loves meeting other dogs and could play all day, but because of his size he can be intimidating. He has grown up with an older female but he has decided that he needs ALL the love and attention from his family, so he pushes her out of the way when pats are to be given. Max would do best as an
only dog.
Max is very food motivated, he eats anything and loves his bones. He can already sit, stay, drop and wait and because he loves his food he has great potential to continue with his training. His favourite game is tug but he loves to play any game with his people. He currently responds best to the male in his family and has bonded very closely with him.
Max is a cuddly and affectionate boy and very placid when relaxing at home, however he is excitable when meeting new people or doggy friends and tends to jump on people he meets, so will need ongoing training to make sure his exuberance is directed towards appropriate activities. This means that a home without small children would be most suitable as he may knock someone over because of his excitement. He will need secure fences due to his size but he has never tried to escape from his current home. Max tends to chase so a home without cats or pocket pets would be best.
Max needs a family who is ready for his high energy level. His current family love him very much but recognise that they can’t provide the time and training to give him his best possible life. He would do best with a patient, active family who can spend time continuing his training and provide him with lots of opportunities for exercise.
