About Scully
4-year old adorkable boy Scully is ready to find his forever humans.
Scully is a loving and affectionate boy, who likes napping on the couch, having a bit of a play, and hanging out with his humans. Scully is currently living as an only dog. Although he adores having his humans around, he is also okay being left home alone and will snooze the day away on his bed or the couch.
Scully generally walks well on-leash although he will occasionally freeze if feeling a bit overwhelmed. His favourite walks are those where he is allowed to sniff everything in sight. Scully loves his walks so much, that if he believes it is past ‘walkies time’ in the morning, he will politely steal your shoes as a not-very-subtle hint to hurry up.
Scully has not had a lot of socialisation with other dogs and can sometimes be reactive when seeing other dogs on walks. Scully would benefit from further socialisation training and a patient and confident handler to help him learn that other dogs are not so scary.
Although Scully loves a good nap, he is fairly energetic for a greyhound, and would love a home with at least a small yard to play in and/or an active household.
Scully would best suit a home with adults only, or a family with older children. He is still learning not to mouth/nip in play and also has some sleep startle behaviour and gets nervous if woken up suddenly.
Scully is not suited to a home with non-greyhounds, an especially not smaller dogs, cats or other pocket pets.
