Buddy Girl is a lovely 9 yo female Kelpie. She is a beautiful girl who just wants to be loved and is eager to please! Buddy is not getting along with her fur sister, and due to unfortunate circumstances her mum and dad feel they can no longer provide her with the attention, stimulation and exercise she needs.
Buddy may be fine with a calm male dog, but her ideal home would be as an only dog soaking up all her owner’s attention. She can be a little anxious and would love a home where her owners are home often.
Buddy would suit an active owner who will make her part of their life and has experience with kelpies or other working breeds. She walks well on lead with a confident owner and responds to commands to stop, sit, wait and walk at heel. She can sometimes be a bit reactive towards other dogs when walking so would like some help to work on this.
Buddy is very patient with her family’s children, so would be fine with kids visiting the home, she would be better suited to adults or grown children – Buddy can get a bit jealous when competing for attention with her fur sibling. As a mature girl we think a nice calm home is what she is after!
Buddy isn’t an escape artist but as a working breed will still need secure fencing. Buddy currently lives with chickens and she shows interest in them but isn’t bothered. She hasn’t been exposed to cats.
Buddy is located in the Lake Macquarie region (Greater Newcastle NSW). For enquiries you can email drn.jenn@gmail.com You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
Buddy’s adoption fee is $300. This includes desexing, vaccinations and microchipping , he has also been treated for worms, fleas and ticks.

(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt (2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family
member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
