About Happy and Finnbar - Located in Albert Park
These 7yo bonded brothers not only adore each other, but are eager to share abundant affection with a new guardian or family. After 1.5 months in care they are ready for a permanent home, preferably with some outdoor space to stimulate their senses (having grown up outdoors), although they do enjoy being indoors.
Finnbar - with his unusual pale-ginger ('Champagne'), silky fur and amber, almond-shaped eyes - is an absolute smoocher. He likes nothing more than to climb onto your lap or reclined chest, brush his chin to yours, gently knead you, then lie comfortably purring. He has an unusual, near-silent miaow, which may emit high-frequency sounds, beyond the range of the human ear. Additionally, he has a range of pleasant chirrups with which he will sometimes call or converse if you choose to respond. His favourite game involves a ping-pong ball in the bathtub or shower, but he's not fussy when it comes to fun, as long as it has some grace. Finn's a confident & sociable boy, adapting quickly to strangers & new places; yet he & his beloved brother aren't demanding: they'll happily keep each other company until a convenient time arises for their human(s) to engage. Boisterous children under 10 or anyone without a calm disposition, won't suit Finnbar & may well undermine Happy's more fragile confidence.
Happy is a gentle black panther, with sea-green eyes, who likely suffered a trauma pre-surrender - coming into care with an unexplained injury, & displaying less trust of cats, dogs and humans than his (unusually) social brother. He needs a patient & relaxed guardian or family able to help him further reduce his baseline anxiety, and build more confidence. Hap already enjoys being stroked, emits a deep jungle purr, and is learning that it's okay to be lifted and held. But he'll need a bit of time before seeking affection, unlike his extrovert brother, who protects and comforts him but also receives comfort.
