About Lata - Located in Northcote
Lata is no ordinary cat, with her stunning coat with the colors of the autumn and beautiful loving eyes. A coat still to discover as it’s changing by the day with new spots and colors coming though as she grows. Lata loves the companionship of the humans and other cats of the house that she follows around in search of fun together.
She is the perfect gentle and affectionate companion. Her Indian comes from her red spot in the center of the forehead, symbol of love and good fortune. Lata is litter trained, clean and gentle. If you’re looking for a couple, Lata has 6 siblings (including an identical twin, Aisha) as wonderful as she is. Dogs and other cats are fun! Would fit in perfectly in any family, especially with children and with other gentle cats.
Before applying to meet one of our cats, please ensure that
- you have the agreement of all members of the household to adopt a Cat
- you have your landlords permission to keep a pet. More information on what to do is available at https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/housing/renting/applying-for-a-rental-property-or-room/pets-and-renting
- you have all the necessary bits and pieces to welcome your new family member, starting with a cat carrier to bring them home, a litter tray, litter, food and bowls as well as a bed, toys and scratchers
- you are ready to welcome them home NOW. We are unable to hold a cat for you if you are not ready to adopt.

Medical notes
The adoption fee includes desexing, microchip, current vaccination, flea and worm treatment while in care. No health issues unless listed below.
Maneki Neko Cat Rescue would like to help ensure you and your new companion have a long and happy life together.
If you should find that you are not a purrfect match - or if you need to rehome your cat at any stage of its life - Maneki Neko Cat Rescue will take the cat back into care and find a new home.
Maneki Neko Cat Rescue provides a 7 day health warranty on all adoptions.
Although all our cats and kittens are health checked prior to adoption, sometimes the stress of a new environment can upset their immune system.
