About daisy
Daisy in one word- gorgeous.
Daisy is a loving, confident, sweet natured and active dog. She absolutely loves company, both with people and other dogs. She does not like being by herself and struggles being alone even for an hour so she definitely needs the company of another dog who would love to play with her. This will be a non-negotiable condition for Daisy's new home
Being a young pup of a very energetic breed, Daisy loves any kind of attention; rough and tumble games, tug-of-war and zoomies, as well as cuddles. Lots of cuddles. Daisy adores food, which makes her very trainable. She sits, drops and is learning recall. She is now toilet trained, however, she may need the occasional reminder in a new environment.
Daisy gets along so well with the dog in her foster home and would love to play with the cat. She is still learning to be gentle with the cat and with reminders, she is beginning to understand that kitty enjoys a different form of play to her canine friends. Daisy is not aggressive, just a bit rough but with the correct introduction, a kitty friend in her new home is someone she will learn to respect and create an understanding agreement with.
She will be looking for a home where she has a MALE canine buddy to share her days with. He will need to be a mature boy (2 years+) but still young enough to enjoy her endless games and wrestles. She will be too much energy for a senior dog!
In her previous home and whilst she has been in care, Daisy has not been with young children
but considering her easy-going nature and playful personality, we think she would love their company. She does sometimes jump up when excited so further reminders will be needed to let her know correct behaviors around children.
Daisy will be an amazing and beautifully behaved dog with the right training. She is an active dog and gets bored easily so she will need lots of exercise, social outings and mental stimulation to keep her busy mind occupied. Obedience training/agility will be a great way for Daisy to burn off stored up energy and will also help her create a trusting bond with her new family.
She will require a good sized yard for her and her doggy pal and her family to share games in and where she will have plenty of room to run. Kelpies are not designed for apartment living and a home with no yard/small yards will not be considered.
Please contact us if you have the perfect home and lifestyle for Daisy.
Only homes with a desexed active MALE dog of similar size, breed and energy levels will be considered to prevent her becoming bored and destructive.
***A home where Daisy will love as an only dog will not be considered***
Daisy is currently in care in Armadale, Victoria
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
