Daisy Belle

Please meet Miss DAISY BELLE, a five year-old pure-bred Papillon with papers.

Until a month ago, Daisy was living very happily with her dog-loving family, but then out of the blue her life changed forever. She was involved in a spat with another little female dog, who nipped Daisy in the eye. Nothing could be done to save her punctured eye, so it was removed and Daisy's eyelids were sewn shut.

Brave little Daisy hasn't missed a beat since her surgery. This resilient little dog is just as sweet and lively as she ever was. She doesn't seem to care or notice that she has only one eye.

However, her devoted owner had to make a heart-breaking decision. The two little females couldn't be trusted to live in harmony so Daisy has to be rehomed for her own sake.

Although Daisy is a pure-bred Papillon with papers, fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your perspective, she doesn't "conform to the Papillon norm", which is why she didn't become a breeder.

Daisy's family describe her as "highly intelligent, adventurous, affectionate and playful". She loves a cuddle and would happily sit on your lap for half the day.

She is crate-trained and "semi" dog-friendly. Although only 3.4 kgs, she sees herself as a dominant female, which is why she got herself into strife in the first place. She is tolerant of chickens, but is untested with cats.

Daisy is best suited to a home without small children - she's just so tiny - and where someone is around most of the time. She likes having access to a yard and a doggy-door. She is not suited to apartment living. She needs a weekly brush to keep her coat silky and tangle-free.

She has been thoroughly vet-checked and has no skin conditions. She is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.
