Shimmer And Shine The Slinky Seals!

Shimmer (female) and Shine (male) are beautiful pure white bonded siblings. They are identical except for their eyes: Shine's eyes are both a clear blue but Shimmer has heterochromia! This just means that she has one blue eye and one yellowy brown one - so you'll always be able to tell them apart! It has no negative effects, and just makes her extra stunning.

Both of these slinky seals are also super smoochy, and purr as soon as you pat them. They love to cuddle and snuggle, explore and play with toys together. They are both lap cats, especially Shimmer. They would suit a home with lots of love to give and will return it in buckets. They would be fine with children of any age as long as the kids are gentle and understand that kittens need their space and prefer cuddles to rough play! They love wand toys, which are a great way for younger kids to interact with kittens in a fun way. They haven't had experience with doggos but with a proper introduction they'll soon be pals with cat-friendly pups :)

Shimmer has a mild heart murmur, but the vets have assured us that she will only need some monitoring for the next year or two, and should grow out of it.

Being white, they'll both need to be kept indoors or in a shaded outdoor enclosure to protect them from the sun. They'd also love harness and leash walks in the early morning or late afternoon when the sun isn't blazing!

Shimmer and Shine are healthy raw fed kittens who have been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped (Shimmer: microchip #956000013176024, Shine: microchip #956000013183985, Source #RE101165). They are available for adoption right now! Their adoption fee also includes their second vaccination at one of our rescue vets.

To adopt a cat from Cat People you'll be required to have a remote or in-person house check done, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Cats from our group are all are vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being taken home by their adopters. Additionally, all of our cats have been evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and well socialised. Please note: all Cat People cats and kittens are indoor only, this is not negotiable.
We will communicate with you through every step of the adoption process to ensure that your experience (and the cat's) is excellent and that you are confident in your decision to adopt a feline companion. Returns are only accepted due to health issues confirmed by a veterinarian.
We only accept adoptions from people with residency in Australia. If you are on a work or student visa, talk to us about fostering with the group instead!
