About Hazel ~ 4yr Old Border Collie(On Trial 20/12/2020)
Meet Hazel, the 4yo red Border Collie with a big smile and an even bigger sense of adventure!
Is Hazel the perfect addition to your family? Hazel loves to go on walks and enjoys chasing sticks and birds, splashing in puddles and swimming. She is great on the lead and loves to get out and about and meet new people and getting pats.
Hazel hasn’t been socialised with other dogs as much as she needs and can be unpredictable and jealous at times, however she is learning how to play and interact more appropriately. Hazel likes to approach others rather then be approached, meeting others on her terms helps ease anxiety and has resulted in more successful interactions.
As a border Collie Hazel will need an active home where she is walked every morning. Hazel has lived successfully with other dogs medium and small, but has had issues with jealousy. A meet and greet will be required with all animals to ensure everyone gets along. Hazel is toilet trained.
Hazel is looking for a home with someone who understands her needs, she can be vocal and will let you know when she’s excited to see you! She would benefit from an owner who is willing to put in the time and give her both exercise and cuddles in equal parts.
Hazel is located in the Newcastle Region NSW. You can also fill out our adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
Hazel’s adoption fee is $600 which covers desexing, vaccination and microchipping. She has also been treated for fleas and worms.. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
