General breed traits:
They like attention and are loyal to their owners. Even though they are considered lap dogs, they are active and like to be kept occupied. Chihuahuas are good family pets when treated respectfully, but they have a reputation for snapping at strangers or small children who may be threatening to their diminutive size. Older children is a must for this boy or no children.
Manny is intelligent and is easy to train, especially with his love of food - obesity must be watched in this breed. A medium energy level means a good walk a day and some mental stimulation to keep him happy.
Manny walks well on a lead, loves the car, toilet trained, sits and shakes.

ASSETS: affectionate, eager to please, sensitive and extremely sweet! He has a loving, gorgeous nature once he gets to know you and is extremely loyal. Stranger may get a nip so place him outside or on a lead when visitors arrive to continue the training we've been implementing.

FAVOURITE THINGS: Manny loves to get in the car, enjoys his gentle daily walks and is toy obsessed.

OTHER ANIMALS: He gets on well with other dogs and would be suited to a home with another doggy friend to share his time with.  A dog who is young enough to play as he just loves rumbling with his foster brothers.
He is fine with dog-friendly cats that can stand their ground after gentle introduction but also loves to play so monitor.

GENERAL INFO: Manny is an absolute sweetheart.  He is a little timid around new people that he doesn't know so will need a gentle owner who will help him gain his confidence in this area. He is good around calm children but doesn't like it when they get in his face and will growl as a warning and may snap. We would therefore recommend an adult only home or older children. He knows a few commands like sit and shake and is very eager to please. He loves to rest his head against the side of your leg when he's near to his human.

HOME ESSENTIALS:
*Time: Manny needs an owner who will put in the time to expose him to new experiences/people and to train and keep socialising him with new people (he can be a little timid when meeting new humans and in new situations). He will need gentle walks each day and someone ready to play.
*Space: Manny needs a well fenced, secure yard, with some grass and interesting things for him to sniff. He'd also suit townhouses.
*Love: He needs to be allowed to be inside or out as he, to sleep inside and to be included as part of the family.
