About Hugo
**URGENT - FOSTER HOME NEEDED - FOSTER TO ADOPT **
Hugo is the ultimate laid back boss! He loves to nap on his comfy bed and has no reservations in telling you when he would like some attention. Hugo adores head and chin scratches, long chats and of course, naps.
If you're after company while watching tv, Hugo is your man! Hugo isn't sure of other cats, but would be better in a home on his own where he can have you all to himself.
Hugo was left behind by his family and was left to fend for himself for years.
Hugo would need to remain as an entirely indoor old cat as he has FIV. Cats with FIV can live almost as long as a cat without FIV, their life expectancy is still around 15 years, and CANNOT be transmitted to humans! All that will be required is twice yearly checkups instead yearly, and ensuring that his vaccinations are always kept up to date. FIV+ can only be transmitted to other cats through very deep bite wounds, It CANNOT be transmitted to another cat by sharing litter trays, food bowls, or play fighting.

Hugo has some broken teeth but otherwise is in good condition. Hugo has been neutered, vaccinated, flea treated and wormed.
Hugo is FIV+ and MUST be rehomed as an entirely INDOOR cat (unless he has access to a cat run) FIV is not a death sentence! We prefer our cats to remain indoors at all times for their safety and the safety of wildlife and are only outside if they have access to a cat run our are outside with supervision.
We carry out house checks to ensure that there aren't any escape routes, or toxic plants etc.
If chosen, you will need to sign our adoption agreement.
