Diesel

Diesel is a lively boy looking for a loving home.
Diesel was put in the 'too hard basket' but with a calm yet strict pack leader he has a promising future as a very good boy. He is very smart and just needs the right motivation! It is important that you gain his trust.

Once he has had some time to decompress and settle into his new home, within a few days you will see his true nature- pretty chill and affectionate. He is quite happy to move around the house and back yard as he pleases but does prefer to be close to his human most of the time- so they should be home more often than not.
He will need a solid walk each day and some zoom time and/or games in the back yard, perhaps playing with toys- squeaky and chewy ones are his favourite. He requires a large yard or area to run around in and he will thrive with some outdoor adventures where can run off-leash.

He is suited to someone who has experience with active dog and will need a home that can commit to obedience training and gradual socialisation with other dogs as he lacks confidence with unfamiliar dogs and handling.
He is responding well to training, especially using a no-pull harness but he will need to keep practising.
He is eager to please and has been getting better each day with heeling and not getting too distracted by his environment.
At this stage he is learning to remain calm when there is another dog around. He has been calming down and focusing a lot quicker with practice. He just wants to play but he needs to learn that the other dog must also be up for it. Soon enough you will reap the rewards- the goodest boy who has a lot of love to give.

He is house trained and knows ‘sit’ and ‘bed’. He is also making progress with ‘shake’ and ‘stay’. He sleeps well through the night. He seems fine to hang outside by himself for a few hours, provided there’s somewhere comfy to snooze. Make this fellas Christmas wishes come true and give him the home he deserves!
