About Maggie
Heartbreaking past hoping for a fabulous future….
Maggie’s Story
It’s a sad one that will be sure to tug on your heartstrings, its one of survival, its one of beating the odds and its one of hope - hope for a brighter future where Maggie will be loved unconditionally as she so richly deserves…..
Maggie came into care after a passerby noticed her barely moving on the side of a busy road, petrified and in unimaginable pain after being hit by a car, suffering horrendous wounds to her front paws, chin and mouth, we can’t even begin to understand how horrifying that must have been for this darling girl and we are forever grateful that someone had the compassion to stop and check if she was still alive where countless others continued on with their day never giving her a second thought.
As well as dealing with her injuries, Maggie was incredibly underweight, just skin and bones on her once regal frame which shows the neglect and struggle for survival she has been going through for goodness knows how long. You see Maggie was someones pet, she’s too friendly and affectionate not to have been loved once upon at time. Her favourite thing in the world is to sit in your lap for a snuggle, or bask in the sunshine whilst watching the world go by staring out the window. Relaxing on the couch with you if high up on her list of things she loves most too.
Maggie is great with other cats, younger or older and couldn’t care less about the resident dog. All Maggie wants is to feel loved, cherished and be cared for as she so richly deserves. Still underweight but gaining some of the much needed meat on her bones, Maggie needs a little encouragement to eat, but once she starts she enjoys every bite. She’s a conversationalist too and enjoys answering you when you ask about her day and what she’s been up to. If you have a lap that’s wanting kitty cuddles, and couch that has a spare seat for a beautiful girl deserving of a second chance and window that gazes out on the world, please consider filling out an application form to come and meet this most amazing survivor. She will surely win your heart wth her tremendous courage…..
Adoption details
Hear No Evil's Adoption process:
1st Step * You contact us to obtain an adoption application, and discuss the dog of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability.
2nd Step * A Meet and Greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and and current dogs is arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a Yard check to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - We understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
3rd Step *Payment of the Adoption fee in full. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records.
Transport arrangements are the financial responsibility of the Adopting party. Hear No Evil are happy to assist with departure preparations and ensuring the dog makes its transport connection.
Final step * Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted, and the adoption is officially finalised.
