About Sooty
Hey, my name is Sooty and I am a 13 month old Black Kelpie.
I am a cute gentle boy, who is keen to learn new things. I am slowly gaining confidence with my handlers and I love my furry, foster siblings big and little. I am a confident, social dog when it comes my doggie companions, I like to play chasey, wrestling and tug of war. I am still a bit shy of humans but getting more and more confident every day. I am learning to come when called, walk on leads and to sleep in my pen outside at night.
I would like a new home with no children, happy for a new furry sibling though. I don’t like to be left alone unless I have a dog for company. I am not sure how I would go with a cat, since I have never met one. I am not suited to a home with any poultry, unless I am monitored closely, as I find them very interesting. I will need someone patient and willing to invest time into growing my confidence in a quiet environment.
I am looking for a family who will love me and include me in their lives. I would like my family to be around more often than not and says I’d be a bit lost if I wasn’t allowed inside to be part of the action. I am bound to be clever and active, so I need a home where my family understands that I need mental and physical stimulation. It will be important to commit to my ongoing training and socialisation to increase my confidence around new things.
If you'd like to include this gorgeous man into your active and busy home, please apply by now!
Hopefully we can be best friends soon please!

Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
