About Bravo
In another life, Bravo would have been an Oxford Scholar. He needs an owner who will put his incredible brain to good use with training and fun enriching activities to keep Bravo entertained.
Bravo is the true definition of a ‘people pleaser’. He is keen to use his intelligence to always do the right thing. Despite some slightly cheeky counter surfing and food stealing habits, Bravo is a very good boy. He really enjoys the affection and company of people, and isn’t too fussed about other dogs liking him. He would suit being the only dog in a home so he gets all the love and cuddles to himself!
He’s a particularly excellent walker, never pulling on the lead or freezing mid walk. However, he does occasionally throw himself down on the ground very dramatically to rub his body all over the grass. His walker has to be on guard at all times in case he throws himself across their path! Bravo likes to finish his walks with a big shake of his body, legs soaring into the air and a big goofy, expression taking over his face
Bravo is truly ready to find a home of his own. He’s very polite around the house and has managed the transition into foster care very well. He’s not very good at walking up stairs though, so a place without stairs would be best.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
During the COVID crisis, not all of our rescued Greyhounds will have the usual socialisation with other dogs so we may advise to use a muzzle in some situations until the dog is fully socialised.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
