About Sammy
This gorgeous boy is looking for his happy ever after!
A sweet natured puppy, Sam is overall a very polite boy, and would benefit greatly from finding himself a home where he can take the time needed to settle in and find himself somewhere permanent.
Sammy has been through a couple of rough patches, and hasn't had the best starts in life! Sam does suffer from anxiety and a lack of people socialisation/exposure. The best home for our Master Sam would be one where there a not too many humans around, somewhere fairly quiet and relaxing for him. Sammy isn't really too cut out for being an adventurous doggo, and will take a fair while to properly settle into his new home.
Our beautiful boy just loves other dogs, however it is new and unfamiliar places and people which he is adverse to. He exhibits extreme shyness, and will duck for cover and hide. This does take a fair amount of time for Sammy to adjust to new experiences and people. Once he is adjusted and has found himself on all four paws, he is a beautifully sensitive and loving boy; albeit a tad bit cheeky too! He does love to find himself a good toy to chew on!
As per medical notes below, Sam had originally been quite unwell when he first met us and is one of the bravest puppies around! He currently weighs in at around the 25kg mark and is considered a large breed size.
Sam's’ adoption fee includes his desexing, micro chipping and he will be up to date with vaccination, Heartworm, flea and worming treatments.
Medical notes
Sam originally came to us a few months ago for medical treatment for a very severe case of Parvovirus.
Stemming from this recovery of Parvovirus, Sam also developed quite the sensitive tummy so is currently on a specialised prescription puppy diet to aid with keeping his tummy from becoming upset. This may be a long term management for the beautiful boy with ongoing dietary restrictions to keep his belly happy.
We have trialed Sammy on several behavioral assistant medications to help relieve his anxieties, however these do tend to give him an upset tummy.
We dont foresee any major ongoing medical complications aside from his sensitive tummy and we are more than happy to discuss further with interested families.
