Maisy ~ 2 year old female cat (On Trial 24/12/20)

Hello, my name is Maisy. I am around 2 years old and looking for a quiet home to call my own with someone that will be patient and shower me with love and understanding.

I came into care foster care from a high kill pound about a month ago. I don’t really know how I ended up being there but I was due to be put to sleep before Dog Rescue Newcastle stepped in and saved me. I think the pound thought I was too shy compared to other cats and wasn’t very forthcoming with strangers so they didn't think I was worth a second chance.

I'm a very friendly and loving girl but I still play a little hard to get with my foster family but in saying that I think I have improved a lot already. It has been a very overwhelming month as my foster family has a dog, a foster dog and a cat which I'm not really used to. I feel I will be more suited to a patient owner with no other pets who is willing to give me the time to come out of my shell. My foster mum believes this will happen! I have been through some rough times for such a young cat and people have let me down so I need a chance to believe that humans can be trusted. When you feed me, I am super cute. I love being patted on the head and don’t stop purring. I come and give cuddles as well to ask for more.

Since I have spent time in the pound, I find a crate very reassuring. I love to have my bed there to relax and sleep. The door is always open and when the house is quiet it is my time to explore.

I am best suited to adults, no young children but teenagers would be okay.

I don’t ask for much except for you to love me the way I am. I am toilet trained and I like my food so not difficult to feed. I need to be a strictly indoor girl and I am very confident in saying you will not regret the decision in taking me home.

Maisy must be an indoor cat only unless you have a cat enclosure. Her adoption fee is $180, which covers all vet work and she is in foster care in Hamilton NSW.
