Willow

I'm Willow and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• Rides in the car
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• I can be shy at first so I need a family who'll allow me to grow in confidence in my own time
• A doggie companion is a MUST to keep me company when my family isn't home or a family that is home all the time. I get very lonely on my own and will howl.
• I'm a very timid girl in new situations so socialisation is a MUST. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman et) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will ensure I grow into a social and well adjusted dog.

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children as they may scare me, although I have lived with children previously I may need a child free home due to being timid in new situations.

My best features:
• LOVE people, once I get to know you
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• My previous owner has said I'm housetrained
• I can sit & shake hands on command
• Highly food motivated
• Gentle & placid
• I walk well on lead for my size
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans

Where I need to improve / Training required
• Unsure in new situations - more socialising is needed
• I appear to be quiet vocal at times when left alone (howling) - a family who has a lot of time for me, allow me indoors and leave me with lots of mental enrichment when home alone is recommended.

AN ADOPTION CAN'T BE APPROVED IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN TO THE SHELTER TO MEET WILLOW IN PERSON.

ANY EXISTING DOGS AT HOME MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET WILLOW BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED
