Summer

Summer is a beautiful 9 month old large mixed breed dog.

She was surrendered to the PMHC Animal Shelter due to being too much for her owner to handle. She is a lovely, sweet girl who just wants pats and love. She responds well to training and loves both food and pats as reward. We have also discovered she loves to play with the hose! As well as throwing a tennis ball around her run and chasing it, what better, a dog who plays ball with herself?

Summer is currently undergoing a training program at the shelter for both Confidence building and Basic Manners, she is progressing beautifully and we are so impressed with her progress.

She can sometimes jump up when excited but has quickly learnt not to do this and we just turn away and ask her to sit, she has now learnt once she sits she gets all the love and attention so will now run up and just sit at our feet. She was also pulling quite hard on the lead when she first arrived, she has a real enthusiasm for life and just wants to get where she’s going! We have worked on this and now she is much better. She knows if she reaches then end of the leash we stop, so its quicker to walk nicely and sometimes she gets yummy treats for this too.

Summer is a beautiful girl with so much potential, she has done so well with training in the short time she’s been here and has won us all over with her sweet nature and willingness to please. She would suit a home dedicated to continuing her training and having the rewarding experience of watching her flourish in a new, loving environment.

Any potential adopters with other dogs must bring their dogs to meet her so we are sure she suits your dogs and yours suit her.

Summers adoption fee is $390 and includes Desexing, Vaccination, Microchipping, Registration, Flea and Worm prevention.
