About Sid ~ 6 month old cat (On trial 15/12/2020)
Meet our smoochy boy Sid. A six month old, sociable kitten, whose black eyeliner makes him look like quite the rockstar.
Sid is what we in the cat business call a “bombproof” cat. He’s extremelly special.
He’s confident with people, children, other cats and dogs. He loves being part of family life and would immediately fit into a variety of households.
Sid came into foster care with his sister Mary, covered in fleas and exhausted. He’d lived his life so far in a very VERY busy household. This means Sid was thrown into a crash course in kitten socialisation, and he’s passed with flying colours.
Sid loves human contact. He will grab your hands gently with his paws to pull you closer. He flops to the side so you can touch his belly, and he will rub his head against any part of you he can touch.
He’s so very soft and has the most beautiful eyes, that just melt hearts.
He’s a gentle, sweet boy, with a sweet little chirp noise he makes when he’s happy (which is often). He loves to play and explore, but more than anything, he loves to be close to his humans.
He’s devoted like a dog, but calm and well-behaved like a cat. Win-win.
Sid is currently in a foster home with two resident dogs, a resident cat, and 3 other very young foster kittens. He gets along with all the other animals swimmingly. He’s met a variety of visitors and loves them all, usually falling asleep in their arms.
However, he isn’t a fan of when dogs get too excitable and chase him. He far prefers gentle licks and cuddle time.
He is completely cat friendly, and would love a young cat companion for company when his humans aren’t home. He would also make a great first cat, if you’re planning on getting a second in the future.
Sid previously lived with a large number of children, so should be fine in a family setting.
Sid’s foster carer loves him very much, and wants him to go to only the best of homes.
He would not enjoy being left completely alone for the majority of daylight hours. A household with people home a lot of the time, (even if working from home) or with an existing cat would be best.
Sid deserves to treated like part of the family and spoilt with love and care. His carer is not looking for specific home for him, but a specific type of person/people.
If you fill out an application form for Sid, please outline how you would embrace this boy into your home.
Sid is toilet trained and has been flea treated and wormed. He is in foster care in Waratah West, close to the University of Newcastle, NSW.
He is being desexed on Friday 11th December and will be available to go to his forever home from 14 December 2020.
His adoption fee is $200, this covers his microchipping, vaccination, flea and worm treatment in foster care, as well as his desexing procedure.
