About Mickey ^Dandy Cat Rescue^
🐱🐱 $250 adoption fee 🐱🐱
We are not sure how Mickey found to be in a car engine but the experience is something that will stay with this kitten for some time – physically and emotionally.
When Mickey was brought in to a local vet he had suffered a burn to the top of his head (which is healing well, fur starting to grow back) but the traumatic experience has also left emotional marks on him.
Because Mickey has had a bad start to life, he can be very nervous and high-strung at times, and he doesn’t like strangers. He is also very picky about the human and cat company he keeps - although once he decides he loves someone, he is all in.
And we think Mickey has had to fend for himself quite a lot in his early days too, as this kitten has food security issues. He growls whenever anyone gets too close to his bowl and he gulps down his food at lightning speed.
Mickey will need a home with a “cat person” or “cat people” who have experience with timid kitties. Mickey will take more time than normal to adjust to a new home and he will need a lot of patience, understanding and time to do things at his own pace.
Once he does relax though, Mickey will hit the ground running – and he will play all day. When he wears himself out, Mickey will let you massage his shoulders and then he will purr and lay on your lap.
Mickey needs a home with a furry playmate who can cope with his very playful nature. He would not do well as an only cat (he is okay with his foster carer's dog) and he would need a human/s who has owned a cat before.
Mickey also needs to go to a home with older children, preferably teenagers, or just adult/s. He requires room to run and play so is not ideally suited to apartment or unit living unless there is lots of space for him.
Mickey is intelligent and he is funny. He is quite the character but a little different, so he will need a lot of understanding from his people. In return he will give you a lifetime of fun and laughter.
