I'm Charlie and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• Rides in the car
• To be allowed inside with my family
• I don't seem to have spent much time with other dogs and can act a bit dominant towards them - regardless of their size. I'm best being an only dog but with a family who promise to spend lots of time socialising me with other dogs so I become a happy social boy
• SOCIALISATION is as important as training a puppy. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman et) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will ensure I grow into a social and well adjusted dog.
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• No young children as I'm still quiet nervous with loud noises or sudden movements

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• No other dogs
• Small children as they may scare me

My best features:
• LOVE people
• I can sit on command
• Wiggle butt - when he's comfortable with you
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be strong on the lead (even though I'm a little guy) - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this
• I am shy at first with new people and in new environments so will require a family who will take their time allowing me to settle in and continue on with my socialization
• Unsure in new situations - more socialising is needed
• I am hit and miss with other dogs - further socialisation with other friendly dogs is needed.

AN ADOPTION CAN'T BE APPROVED IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN TO THE SHELTER TO MEET CHARLIE IN PERSON.

ANY EXISTING DOGS AT HOME MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET CHARLIE BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED
