About Nulla
Hello, my name is Nulla!
I’ve spent the last couple of weeks living with my foster family – two adults and two kids, aged 11 and 13 – and they have grown to love me and my goofy ways.
I’m about two and kelpie/ border collie cross breed. I have been de-sexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated.
I don’t want to talk about my past, but let’s just say it wasn’t a loving home environment. I found myself at the Mount Isa pound very underweight and downright sad. I deserve better. Luckily, better is what I’m going to get, because I’m awesome and both Eavings Rescue and my foster family are dedicated to making sure I find the best home for me!
Let me tell you more about me! I can sit and wait; I am good walking on a lead, but do I like to zig-zag a bit as there are just so many new smells and sounds to explore!
I am new to being inside so while I still get a little excited at times, I am learning to find my zen indoors. To be honest, all I want to do is sit in your lap and love you, but I’m learning that this isn’t good for me or for you - personal space is important and nobody wants their best friend to be so clingy! (It's waaaaay too hot for that, anyway!)
I’m an exceptionally affectionate boy and if I catch you sitting on the floor or your face is at my level - you can be sure that I will try to sneak in a few kisses!
Due to my past experiences (or lack thereof) new or loud sounds can give me a fright, but with reassurance and confidence building exercises, I find my brave quickly!
I’m not really interested in toys yet but I do love a game of fetch, I could play that game forever! I’ll drop the ball back to your feet (mostly) so we can continue to play the game! I do tend to get overexcited and sometimes I’ll jump up, but I’m learning this isn’t how to show my family I love them. I get along very well with my smaller doggy foster brother and I’m curious about the cat, if only the cat didn’t hiss at me!
I am a great dog and will make a valuable addition to your family, I have so much love to give.
In return, I ask that my forever family can commit to further training (both obedience and things that will help my state of mind/allow me to build up my confidence). If you have another doggy brother or sister for me to play with, that would be amazing, though not compulsory. As an active breed, I require daily physical and mental stimulation to be my best self and I am excited to do these things with my forever family!
Adoption details
Please do not send an "Enquiry". Please instead follow the below steps:
Step 1: Fill in our application form with as much detail as possible - https://forms.gle/sPnL6QS2ik5A5XUR8
Step 2: If suitable, one of our foster carers will contact you via phone to further discuss the dog you have applied for and assess suitability. The same will also be done for other applicants.
Step 3: A meet and greet will then be organised so that you and the dog can meet.
Step 4: Once the meet and greet has been completed, if our team advises that you may be a suitable candidate you will then be required to submit a detailed written application (a template will be emailed to you) - we will then assess all applications and get back to you with an outcome. We may request a home inspection prior to finalising any application.
Dogs are offered for a trial period in new homes for 21 days before the adoption is confirmed.
No entire dogs will be re-homed under any circumstances.
