About Sera
Sera (pronounced to her ears as Sarah :-) ) is a just turned 4 year old German Shepherd who is just a love bug with her humans! She has a huge smile and is not afraid to use it to brighten your day and let you know just how happy she is.
Sera MUST be an only dog – Sera is not a fan at all to other dogs (including thru the fence) she has had history of working with a trainer and whilst it was an ongoing process it is something that can be worked on in the future with Sera.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue does require her to be an ONLY DOG (please don't apply if you have another dog or want to take Sera to a dog park for social outings etc - this is not something that Sera will be able to do).
Sera does enjoy her walks (and we would encourage however at this stage we do walk her in quiet times and away from other dogs - she will pull towards them)
Sera is reactive to other dogs thru the fence so good neighbor fencing, acreage, colorbond etc fencing is required or neighbors with no dogs. She will settle after a period of time but will it will take time.
So whilst we understand the restrictiveness of being an only dog Sera will more than make up for it with her humans and she will show you more love and affection, and give you a lot of giggles that being an only pet will be worth it!
Sera will require mental and physical stimulation like any dog, but being a German Shepherd it is imperative – Sera is super smart and a quick learner and also eager to please.
Sera ADORES children, she is currently with small children and will follow them around 24/7 supervising them – she just adores them. Sera currently sleeps in the doorway of a small child at the foster carers home and the settled content look she provides her foster mum each night when her little humans are all tucked up in bed is truly special.
Sera is untested with cats
Sera is just one of those calming loving dogs that is awesome to have around - she lives for her ‘little people’ and being a part of the family.
Some musts:-
Sera love to hang out with her humans and very much used to sleeping inside
Being a German Shepherd she will need mental and physical stimulation and ideally we would be looking for an experienced breed specific owner.
Secure fencing – good neighbor fencing, acreage, colorbond etc fencing or neighbors with no dogs as she will react if they are at the fence.

If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.

Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
