About Puck
Puck and his 2 littermates were found abandoned in a box at a quiet rest stop in south NSW.
As Puck was found with his littermates in circumstances less than desirable, we do not know his age - but we estimate that he is approximately 12/14 weeks based on the amount of time he has been in care, and also based on he still retains all of his puppy teeth which he should start losing at around 4 months.
We also do not know his breed. Based on his markings and scruffiness we can only guess that he might be a kelpie x small scruff mix. He currently weighs only 5kgs.
Since coming into care this little guy has thrived! Showing us his smart and mostly relaxed (for a puppy) personality. Puck is a confident puppy and appears to cope in most situations.
Puck currently lives with 3 older dogs. And while he would love nothing more than to rumble with them all day long, is very good at listening to them when they tell him no.
Puck is crate trained. This means that once he’s in his crate for the night we don’t hear a peep until morning. 👏🏼🙌🏼
Pucks house training is coming along very nicely. 😇
Puck knows commands such as:
- sit
- wait
.. And has lovely meal time manners.
Puck can be quite mouthy - we have been working in this.. as puppy teeth are very sharp it is recommended that Puck is not rehomed with small children.
Puck also lives with cats, it would be recommended that he is not rehomed with cats as he can become very fixated on them and pushes the boundaries.
Puck meets other dogs quite well for his age. He would do well being rehomed with an older dog that is well versed in social practices and can help show Puck the way.
Puck would be a great candidate for dog sports. His toy drive is good, loves a good game of tug and is starting to enjoy fetch. He also has terrific food motivation, and is keen to get in amongst everything.
If you are interested in adopting Puck he is currently accepting EOIs here - http://www.4lyfe.org.au/adoption-application
Medical notes
Puck will be adopted out on a desex contract.
