Meet gorgeous Charwen. A country goofball, Charwen is new to the easy life of a city dog and is learning about all the new sights, sounds and smells! Although very timid and anxious to new sounds, he is curious and once he is certain there is no danger, he will venture out to explore. His confidence is growing every day and is a different dog to when he arrived to his foster family 3 weeks ago.
Charwen is learning how to play with dog toys, learning about walking on lead and learning about appropriate behaviour inside a house. He is getting used to the humans coming and going in the household and has settled well into his foster home with 11 and 12 year old humans and a male Golden Retriever.
Charwen is a tall boy and all legs, very goofy and has his foster family in hysterics at his puppy antics. Charwen craves attention and affection from his human foster family and their dog so will be better suited to a family with another larger dog or a family that has a family member home most of the time.
Charwen is house trained and does not bark unnecessarily. His Foster brother pooch has been teaching him how to play appropriately and toy sharing is not an issue. His curious nature sees him following you around the house watching what you are doing and absorbing the sights and sounds of family life. He will sleep beside you wherever you let him and loves a cuddle on the couch.
Charwen will thrive in a calm but physically active household committed to building on his confidence and positive exposure to new experiences. He is a gentle sweetheart, just wanting to please you and be told he is a good boy.
Charwen had previously lived with other dogs but as his foster parents have been working from home, he hasn’t been left for long periods on his own just yet. He has not been tested on cats or very young children.
