Introducing the lovely and self assured Tandanala.
This beautiful big girl is becoming an adolescent, but is determined to hold onto her puppy exuberance!
Tandanala is quite energetic for her breed and does require a bit of activity and stimulation. She currently gets walked twice a day with ball chasing and tug of war games thrown into the mix. Once she has expelled her initial energy, she will sleep for a few hours, quite happy to lay outside getting fresh air.
Tandanala is dog friendly and loves nothing more than to play however, we are still working on her dog manners, so if there is another dog in the family, they would need to be playful, friendly and of a similar size.
She is currently living with 2 other cats and is learning to co-exist with them, but will still give chase. Any cats should therefore be very confident, as Tandanala wants to play with everyone and everything!
She has been in training with us whilst in care and has come a long way, she does still have quirks we are ironing out. Her way of saying hello is to jump up on people, and she will even do this to strangers whilst on her walks. When she sees dogs, she can come across as reactive because she can’t remember how to say hello properly. This may come across as intimidating, but it is just that she gets so excited being out and about that she forgets her manners.
Tandanala is very clever and knows how to sit, drop, shake and wait for food. She is food driven so treats will help with her training development. She is also toilet trained but sometimes she gets too excited and may tinkle a little accidentally. She is getting better at controlling this.
As Tandanala is so spirited, she does tend to jump up quite a bit. As she is large, it is therefore recommended that her new home have no children under 16 years of age.
Tandanala is looking for a home with a firm handler that has large breed experience, and will continue to socialise and commit to her ongoing training, understanding that whilst she is very intelligent, her maturity is still developing.
Please research the breed before applying.
