About Gypsy
Meet Miss Gypsy, a 2.5 year old sweetheart Staffy x who loves nothing more than cuddling up near her humans as much as possible. Gypsy loves to do zoomies at any given moment, and loves to stretch out in the sun during the day. Gypsy rarely barks, but you will certainly hear her when she is sleeping, as she is a snorer! She has been crate trained, and knows when its bed time to move into her crate for the night, where she snoozes away until you are ready to get up - sometimes she even wants to sleep in longer than you!
Gypsy has had a tough start to her life, so she is a little unsure of other dogs when out on walks, which she has been working really hard on getting better at. Gypsy will need regular ongoing training to perfect her lead walking skills - she just wants to always make her humans happy! She is fine to walk (no pulling etc) until she meets other dogs along her travels - where she will then pull on her lead and makes her Staffy whine heard. Given this, Gypsy needs to be the only dog in her new home.
Training methods are a little different with Gypsy, as she is not overly treat orientated when out on the lead, but after some training sessions with her foster dad, we have worked out the perfect way to keep her calm and relaxed when meeting dogs on her walk! With this in mind, it would be best that Gypsy's new family had someone strong to take her on her walks and training sessions outside the house.
Although Gypsy came from a house with young children, it would be best that she goes to a house with teenagers and above, as she can sometimes get a little too excited with her humans and jumps up to greet them. Gypsy does not show signs of separation anxiety when left alone, she just snoozes her day away, although if you are home, she would prefer to be at your feet (or even better, on the couch!).
Gypsy will make the perfect addition to your pet free home, and she cannot wait to meet her new humans and give them all the cuddles and kisses they can handle.
Medical notes
Currently on Trazadone that will be tapered off once she has settled into her new home.
