About Tex
Welcome ladies and gentleman to the first inaugural "RACE TO ADOPTION" Greyhound cup......
Racing today we have the amazing Tex, at just over 3 and half years old this boy comes in to the race today as the favourite.
Dogs are in the boxes... anticipation grows... and........ THEY ARE OFF...
As expected Tex is off to a good start, he is currently sitting in the middle of the pack alongside 'he's ready for a change in atmosphere' and being followed by 'not suited to live in a home with cats' and 'could live with another medium to large sized dog'... Leading the pack is 'Such a sweet natured man' closely followed by 'all the love in the world to give' and 'somebody looking for a couch potato' who is just ahead of 'requires a brisk walk in the morning and again at night'.
As we round the first turn trailing behind at the rear of the pack we have 'older children will be ok' just behind 'great dog for a fit active older person'. Two lengths in front of these two dogs is the stunning 'cuddles galore' who is neck and neck with 'who are you calling dish licker?'.
Tex has finally found his pace and is pushing up through the pack, passing 'This great dog is ready for an atmosphere change 'and 'not suited to live with cats', 'could live with another medium to large sized dog' he's gaining ground on 'somebody looking for a couch potato' and 'requires a brisk walk in the morning and again at night' and is now neck and neck with 'such a sweet natured man'.... The rest of the pack is falling behind as they approach the finish..
Its 'Such a sweet natured man', NO, Its 'TEX' in the lead, he is advancing, he is almost half a length in front, he is only meters from the finish line now and fully stretched out... Our boy Tex here is going for gold... he's going to win this years adoption cup.... he.... Oh wait, he's stopped.... he has seen someone in the crowd he wants to meet and greet with... Has he found her forever home.... is it with you???
To see how this race ends you will need to call the people at BARC and arrange a meet and greet with Tex on 5441-2209.
The real winners will be the people who get to take this beautiful boy home.
Keep an eye out on BARC's Facebook page for an exciting announcement regarding a Greyhound day 10/12/20 where you can come along to a fantastic info session and meet and greet myself and the other grey hounds currently at BARC looking for a new home. Bookings Essential.
Available to meet and adopt 26/11/2020

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
