About Jack
After being a beloved family pet for many years Jack was surrendered to us at no fault of his own after losing his doggo best friend and was a very sad and stressed boy.
In the time he has been with his foster family Jack has come such a long way becoming a very sociable and happy dog who loves spending time with his fur family and human family inside or outside of the home.
Jack is a very clever boy and knows commands including shaking, sitting and waiting before his food. He is good on a lead but is very strong at times. His foster carers have found he is a lot easier to walk when using a Luka lead or halti however he will need a strong and confident owner. Jack loves his walks and would love to continue getting walked twice a day.
Jack is great with young kids, other dogs and unlike most huskies in foster care he has been great with cats! Unfortunately he did get into a fight with a dog whilst in foster care so he does have some battle wounds. He has made a full recovery and it hasn’t effected his confidence with other dogs at all.
Jack will need to be re-homed with another female dog of a similar age or calm nature. Someone who has Arctic breed experience would be preferred and he must have a secure yard with fences over 6ft as he is known to be a bit of an escape artist.
Jack is a cuddly boy who just wants a family to call his own. Could that be you?
Medical notes
Jack has problems with the skin on his nose. We have had a biopsy carried out at Lort Smith Animal Hospital and it all came back negative. This does not cause him any pain or effect him in any way. We believe it is from the sun. His foster carer has been applying dog sunscreen to protect him and his new owner will be expected to do the same to prevent further issues with his nose.
