Pippa is a big, goofy chiller. This polite lady with a dependable and gentle nature is looking for a forever family with excellent ball throwing skills. She can be a little reserved at first but once she bonds with you loves to lean in for a scratch and a pat. She is easy going and just likes to be involved in what you're doing. If she seems to be missing she is probably on the couch. She's happy to go along with whatever you are doing and follows your direction in her own laid back way. She is house trained, is not destructive at all and let’s herself in and out through the doggy door to the toilet. No accidents inside at all. She can be a little stubborn but just wants to please and appreciates consistent boundaries.
Pippa has lived with a dog in the past. She doesn’t like dogs that are in her face so not for you if you want to let a dog off-leash in the park. She is interested in other dogs she sees on the street but doesn’t like to be surprised. She can be reactive with dogs that surprise her or get up in her face but is generally calm and wags her tail.
Pippa is great on the lead. If you are looking for a short-distance jogging companion she would be perfect as she prefers a slow jog to a walking pace. Regardless of how fast you walk or run she doesn't pull on the lead and takes good direction from you. She likes to stop and sniff and will make friends with dog people she meets on the street if she gets a chance. She sits politely on her own accord for a pat. She can sit and wait when out on a walk as well as sit and wait for her food.
Pippa is loveable in that she's a gentle and reassuring presence with a big smile. She is especially cute when she is dreaming. This no nonsense, laid back girl just wants to come along on whatever adventure you're on, especially if the adventure is snuggling on the couch.
Definitely no cats please.
Thank you to Heather of Dixon Dog Photography for the fantastic photos of Pippa.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
