About Frankie ~ 1yo, female, Kelpie X(on Trial 31/12/20)
Frankie is the sweetest 1 year old Kelpie x Staffy girl who is always ready to say hello to anyone and melts the hearts of everyone she meets.
Frankie is a very quick learner and has mastered new commands such as sit, come, shake and lay down. She's been working on stay but can get over excited and just can’t stay away. There is no doubt that with some love and quality time to continue training you'd have a brilliant dog for life.
Frankie will not suit a home where she is left alone for long hours of the day, she loves and craves human attention, so having someone at home throughout the day and being included on lots of outdoor adventures would make her the happiest! She loves to sleep inside and put herself to bed in her crate each night when she’s ready. We feel a family with older children would suit her best as she tends to jump up occasionally to say hello.
She previously lived with another larger dog however has been unsure meeting other doggy friends while in care. If you currently have a pooch living with you, we will require a couple of meet and greets to ensure everyone gets along perfectly. Frankie is currently living with a cat without issues. She isn't suited to living with chickens because they're a little too tempting.
Frankie’s new family must understand that changing homes can be a bit stressful and she just needs some time and patience to fully settle in. It is important to note that Frankie will require further training to continue to build her confidence and help her feel secure so her perfect family must have some dog experience to ensure her training is productive and positive at all times and this gorgeous girl will give you her everything. She is an absolute sweetheart.
If you would like to meet Frankie, please complete the DRN questionnaire https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt or email amberclarke89@outlook.com for any enquiries. Frankie is located in Cooks Hill NSW (suburb of Newcastle NSW) and her adoption fee is $400 which includes desexing, vaccinations and microchipping. She is up to date with all worming and flea treatments.
Medical notes
Frankie arrived in care with minor leg issues but the vets couldn’t find the cause and it seems to have resolved with rest and gradual exercise – they suggested because of her young age and mixed breeding it was just a part of growing and she was a little overweight but with exercise and weight control food she is dropping those kilos!
